IE7 Droppable Overflow Issue

Reported by Nick Bennett | February 27th, 2010 @ 12:26 PM

I have an issue on my site where as soon as I apply the droppable method to one of my div it extends outside of its containing div. I've attached a simplified snippet of the problem. It seems ok in all other browsers I've tested. Any help would be gratefully received as this is holding back the release of my project.

In one of my projects I have the same problem. If the surrounding container of the sortable div has overflow:auto IE 7 will not position the div as expected. If the overflow:auto is removed it works fine.

Is there any solution for this problem? Any hint how to solve this special IE 7 problem?
