Ajax.Autocompleter "parameters" must be a string

Reported by Phil Mayers | June 11th, 2008 @ 04:12 PM

The Ajax.Autocompleter docs state:

parameters... If you need to send any additional parameters through your search form, add them here, in the usual {field: 'value',another: 'value'} or 'field=value&another=value' manner.

...however the source code says (~line 363 of controls.js v1.8.1):

Ajax.Autocompleter = Class.create(Autocompleter.Base, {

this.options.defaultParams = this.options.parameters || null;

this.options.parameters += '&' + this.options.defaultParams;

...and supplying a hash sets the params to:

i.e. the encoded string: "[object Object]"
