Image outside a DIV with sortable

Reported by neakorntal | June 3rd, 2009 @ 07:26 AM

i have a div with a lot of images inside and a scrollbar.
whith IE6 and without a DOCTYPE, it's OK, but whith this DOCTYPE
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

that's wrong (see attached file). The images get outside the div.

    is the same problem with draggable in place of sortable

    $A($('draggables').getElementsByTagName('img')).each (function(item){new Draggable(item,{revert: true, ghosting: true});});

    the images get outside the div

    I ran into this issue as well. My problem was exactly lik on the image: "Dessin1.gif"
    I killed lots of hours trying to implement variaty of different hacks. But no success!!!
    Then I looked at it from the DIV prospective and bang! I came up with a trivial solution!

    Just set relative position on the DIV element.

    ..... your sortable ellemnt........

    That's it. IE7 will handle that how all we expect ;-)

    I hope this help!

    Cheers Petr

    Ooops The DIV tag got lost, so just set: style="position:relative ...rest of your style" And that's it.
