ajax.autocompleter doesn't function on IE7 iFrame

Hi Guys!

this is the piece of my code:

new Ajax.Autocompleter("auto_istat", "istat_choices", "/banner/addIstat/", {paramName: "digitato",

                                                                        minChars: 2,
                                                                        indicator: "indicator1"});

this is inserted in the iframe,and when the page load and i try to typing inside, the page become blank and the coursor move ouside the frame why??? this problem just happen only in the IE
