Sortable load two times if recursive on upload

Reported by Ziorufus | June 7th, 2008 @ 02:54 AM

I use Ajax.Request and Sortable in combo to reload the entire DIV when onUpdate happens. I need to do so because the script can be used by more than one people in the same moment, so when an item in the list is moved I need to reload the entire DIV in case someone else moved something too.

  • #tresale is the DIV to be reloaded
  • ul.sala are the ULs in which I want Sortable to work.

The code is:

function loadSortable() {
	new Ajax.Request('ajax.php',
			method: 'get',
			onSuccess: function(data) {
				$('tresale').innerHTML = data.responseText;
				$$("ul.sala").each(function(ele) {
					Sortable.create(ele, {
						containment: $$("ul.sala"),
						dropOnEmpty: true,
						constraint: false,
						onUpdate: loadSortable

document.observe("dom:loaded", function() {

The strange thing is that when I sort an item, the loadSortable() function is called two times. I tried to put in that some alerts, but I cannot solve the problem.

Thank you for your help.
