Http method tunneling does not work if postBody is used

Reported by William Shulman | January 22nd, 2010 @ 07:02 AM

The tunneling technique of using method as a request parameter does not work if postBody is used in ajax requests. The documentation does say that post parameters are not passed when postBody is used, but the inability to tunnel the method parameter may be an unintended side-effect. The problem is that you now cannot use PUT with a postBody. You can POST with a postBody but not PUT. Would it be possible to tunnel with a secret _method header instead of a request parameter?
