#634 enhancement

Rethrow errors in ajax callbacks

Reported by Spezi | March 31st, 2009 @ 11:37 PM | in 2.0

When using Ajax.Request and an error occurs inside of the onCreate method without providing an onException method, no exception is thrown and onCreate is just left silently. Only tested this with prototype and 1.6.1_rc2 in Firefox 3.0.8 though. I don't know what's happening in this case inside Ajax.Request when no onException method is given, but a default implementation should just pass the exception so it doesn't get suppressed as in the example.

Just to describe the example: The error occurs in onCreate since no element with id "content" exists. With onException provided, the error is caught there and passed to the caller.
