#522 bug

Opera and $$('.wrapper .inner') does not work correctly

Reported by Cyrus | January 13th, 2009 @ 02:41 PM | in After 1.7

Please see the following test case:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

<title></title>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/prototype/

1.6.0.3/prototype.js" type="text/javascript">

<script type="text/javascript">
    document.observe('dom:loaded', function() {
        $('matchcount').update('Matches: ' + $$

('.wrapper .inner').length);

    });
</script>

<div class="wrapper">
  <a href="#" class="inner">test</a>
</div>
<div>
  <div class="wrapper">
    <a href="#" class="inner">test</a>
  </div>
</div>
<div id='matchcount'></div>

Should write "2" but writes only "1" with Opera 9.63.

I will also open a bug report at Opera.
