Diwali In India (Celebrations ways and Information)

Reported by Kean | October 11th, 2017 @ 01:41 PM

Diwali is one of the most famous festivals in the Indian society. Known as the ‘festival of lights’, the date is commemorated every year in the fall in the northern territory, and spring in the southern territory.

One of the major festivals of Hinduism, it happily imports the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.

The word ‘Diwali’ means rows of glowing lamps and it is known as the ‘festival of lights’ because houses and shops are illuminated with candles and colorful lights during the week.
Indians celebrate this festival by sending Diwali jokes on social media and sending the sweets, gifts to their loved ones.
For many people, Diwali admires Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and fertility. The new business year will start, for many, at Diwali, and some will say prayers to the goddess for a flourishing year ahead.
