S2.UI.Overlay insert problem

Reported by Alex Barker | December 6th, 2010 @ 10:16 PM

I can't seem to get the S2.UI.Overlay to insert into an object. It always defaults to document.body regardless of what I call insert on; ex: $("mydiv").insert(new S2.UI.Overlay()). Also the only way I could get it to work was to add style information from http://mir.aculo.us/stuff/scripty2-ui/themes/default/theme.css. There is no mention of needing some CSS to get scrpty2 working yet it fails to function without style data.

This works fine for me. Is $("mydiv") null? Also, you need the CSS to theme the overlay. I think that the Overlay is indeed being inserted, it just isn't styled without the CSS you mentioned since it is transparent and has no content by default. When you add the CSS, it is given an opaque background, which is why it appears to work then.
