Element hide/show should preserve inline displays

Element.show, and element.hide does not keep track of the inital state of the element( display:inline for example)
I used the following patch to override the default methods. Maybe anyone else would be interesed.

Ya I had that in my fork too but it was removed for the 1.6.0.3. Not sure why.
